I was born in Canada and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where I've always gone by my middle name, Michael. I completed a B.A. in Social & Behavioral Studies at George Fox University, then moved to North Carolina to help with a church plant. There I completed a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pfeiffer University in 2018. In my leisure time, you'll likely find me doing one of the following: riding a mountain bike, roasting coffee, detailing a car, playing a game with my four kids, or cracking a dad joke in hopes to make my wife laugh.
